The dedicated GPU has been improved as well. Rather than the Nvidia 940MX that was used in the previous model, customers will now get an Nvidia MX150.
The original MateBook D was announced back in May, alongside two other Windows 10 devices from the MateBook lineup. The X is a 13-inch laptop with a fanless design, allowing for a thin body, and the E is a tablet that follows up on the original MateBook.
It comes as no surprise that there's no word on a refreshed MateBook E, given that Intel hasn't announced eighth-generation Y-series processors yet. Perhaps more surprising is that there's no news or rumors around a new MateBook X, which was the flagship of the lineup.
The new MateBook D comes in three models: Core i5-8250U, 256GB SSD, and 8GB RAM for ¥5,188, i5-8250U, 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD, and 8GB RAM for ¥5,488, and Core i7-8550U, 128GB SSD and 1TB HDD, and 8GB RAM for ¥6,688.
