Steps:How to set Shortcuts on Android Volume Keys

Image result for How to set Shortcuts on Android Volume Keys

Do you know that your Android phone volume keys can serve other features than the volume controls and taking of screenshots.

There are some couple of people who only knows that the volume keys are only used to take screenshots, boot into recovery mode and control sounds; that's not all you can do with the volume keys on your Android.

Your Android volume keys can serve as a shortcut to important apps.

This reminds me of the time of Nokia Java and Symbian, whereby this feature was also available.

You can manually set shortcuts on any keys to a particular app. If you have used a Java phone before, you will know better.

I will be introducing you to an app that will make this possible, and it's called QuickClick. With this app installed, you can make your volume keys shortcuts to take a photo, make a call, turn on the flashlight, record an audio, write a text or start an app.

It's quite easy to use.

WHERE TO DOWNLOAD QUICKCLICK APP?

Quickclick is available on the Google Playstore; kindly download Quickclick here.

HOW TO USE QUICKCLICK APP
  •  All you need to do is install the app, launch it and toggle the switch on the top of the screen on.
  • Then you will see a list of functions you can add as shortcuts to the volume buttons. For each option you click, there will be options to further customize it.

For example: When you select Camera, you get an option to specify what camera you want to use, your preferred picture quality, whether you want to use flash or not, and where your picture will be saved.
  •  Next, you need to set the number of volume button presses to activate the set function. You can set up to 6 clicks. When you finish with that, all you need to remember is the number of clicks you set for your shortcut. Your smartphone volume keys have become shortcut keys!
However, there are other apps on Playstore that gets the job done too. If you don't like this app, you can as well check out the rest of other apps listed on Playstore.
