NHK Spring Co Ltd, a Japan-based firm that deals with auto seats and suspension springs, has unveiled a seat for VIPs.
The company is marketing the seat to automakers in the aim of commercializing it.
The most distinguishing feature of the seat is that it can measure the pulse rate of the user with a sensor on its armrest, watch-like wearable device, etc. It massages the user in accordance with the pulse rate so that the effect of alleviating fatigue can be improved, compared with conventional massage machines, NHK Spring said.
The seat has many other functions. There are speakers on the right and left parts of the headrest so that the user can enjoy music, radio, etc. Moreover, there are air conditioners in areas supporting the neck, back, buttocks and feet, and their settings can be changed for each user. Reading lamps and storage spaces also improve convenience.
