Earlier this year, HTC launched the HTC U Ultra which appeared to be the company’s flagship. It wasn’t exactly the most impressive of handsets, but HTC quickly rectified that by launching the HTC For those who liked what they saw in the HTC U11, you’ll be pleased to learn that HTC is now selling the HTC U11 on its online store where you’ll be able to pick it up completely unlocked for $649.
This means that you won’t be tied to any particular carrier and will be able to use it with any carrier of your choice. Alternatively for those who prefer buying it from a carrier, as it stands Sprint appears to be the only ones to offer the handset for now.
As a quick recap for those who missed the HTC U11’s announcement, this is the company’s latest smartphone and it packs the latest hardware, like a 5.5-inch QHD display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 3,000mAh battery, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835chipset. We’re also looking at a 12MP rear-facing camera, a 16MP front-facing camera, and it will run on Android.
The HTC U11 is also unique in the sense that it has a frame that is touch-sensitive. This means that users can “squeeze” the handset in order to activate certain features or to launch certain apps and so on.
